This Week's Iconic Dress: Carrie's Tutu
With the highly anticipated Sex and the City 2 opening in Australia soon, I thought we'd visit an old friend this week. Possibly one the best recognized outfits in television history is Carrie's simple tutu teemed with a basic ballet pink hued singlet, which features in the opening credits of the show. It's rumoured the vintage skirt only cost $5, with costume designer Patricia Fields and Sarah Jessica Parker insisting it be used in the opening credits to typify Carrie's overall style. Good decision, as it has gone onto to become a truly iconic Carrie outfit.

I always loved the tutu from the opening credits. I was amazed to see it in the movie all those years later, I'm glad they've kept it =)
